the same 4.0, they never use bead locks, and tire pressure on ice runs around 5-10 psi... I'm just wondering if they are using the stock wheel bearings or not.

ya I wouldn't say it's the prettiest Taco I've seen but it's so purpose built and sick!
I'd still, if I had the $ and the plans to ice-venture, take the the hilux or the Tacoma equivalent that they make (non-long-travel)...

They're running the Staun (or equivalent) beadlocks. Look at the rims a little closer and note the dual valve stems.

That's incorrect. One valve is to air down and the other is to have an air dial on to see the pressure as the tire is deflating. I was recently in Iceland.

I agree, but that's what I was told while I was there. They don't like to use any form of bead locks there. There may be a few select people that have them but in general they don't use them (even on the trucks with 44s).
