Default New truck

Well my new Tacoma is on its way home to me! My youngest son drove to Johnstown PA and is driving it back to Missouri. He took a picture of it for me, first time I've seen it. It's a 2012 Tacoma DC, 4x4, TRD Sport, nav, 18" chrome clad wheels, in Magnetic grey metallic. This will be my 3rd Tacoma, plus I had a new 81, and a 86. My oldest has a 2006 4x4 DC, that I drive a lot.

Truck just arrived. Safe and sound, except for a few splattered bugs!

Well I just ordered a set SCS Performance Stealth 6 wheels in black. Also ordered Goodyear Wranglers MT/R with Kevlar. Getting ready to order a Fabtech 6" lift. Installed some HID headlights and 100 watt fog light bulbs. iPad isn't letting me upload pics.

Yes! They sell them in Missouri. I just like the Internet buying. All it cost me was gas money. I fly for free on American airlines, my wife is a flight attendant for them.

Why would you ruin it with a DB lift right away?

Uh, because it's mine. I have an idea of what I want it to be. This may be my last new car and build. I'm fighting pancreatic cancer. Had major surgery, they removed my pancreas, spleen, gall bladder half of my stomach, and my duodenum. I've lost 60 pounds since Feb 2012. I've done chemo 3 times, (on my 3rd round) and radiation. I have my son who just finished up his tour in the Marines to help me. I have a awesome shop here at the house. So I hope this will motivate me. So bash away... What are you driving?

Just ordered a Magnaflow 18" muffler. I had a Flowmaster series 40 on my 01 Tacoma and it was a little too much cabin drone.

Wasn't trying to be a dick, haha. It's just a lot of us aren't fond of DB lifts. My chevy had one did it's purpose. I just feel like they are too stiff and count productive. But like you said it's your truck.

I drive a T4R 3" OME lift, With 315/75/16 MTRs on the way.

No problem. UPS just delivered my MTR's. Wife had a cow over that, if she only knew what else is on the way...

What he meant is why waste money on a drop bracket lift when for about the same money you can do a solid axle and have a better more capable truck.

To each their own

Also, I just want to say it's good to hear your still keeping busy given your health issues. So many people give up all together and wither away. Keep strong and God bless. Also thank your son for his service for me

If it was possibly the last truck I ever built, I'd solid axle swap that bitch and run 40's. Good luck with your truck and with your health.

Thanks for the kind words. Just had chemo today so I will be down for 3 days. I will take the truck in for the muffler install. Normally I'd do it myself but I don't feel like working under the truck right now. Sent the 315's back swapping them for a 275-70-17 MTR. Going with a Toytec Ultimate 3" lift. Changed my mind on cutting on the truck... Plus the place I was buying the lift from was jacked up. The sell through the PX/BX (military).

good call. you can still fit 35's, if you cut and weld enough.
