Default Crashed 02 Taco

Hey i crashed my 02 tacoma trd sr5 4x4 into a tree on sunday i took out the hood, does anyone know if i can put an 02 runner sport ed. hood on it?? (the one w/ a hood scoop) Thanks!!

I think that you have to swap the entire front clip over to make the hood fit, ie fenders core support and grill.

Yeah, JT is right.

If you want the hood scoop, go with a glassworks hood. (fiberglass)

I know a guy with one of those glassworks hoods on his truck. What color ids your truck? I have a steel hood from my 04 Green.

Depends on the shop doing the work. If your insurance just cuts you a check and says take it to any shop or do it yourself, the you can do what ever. Or if they tell you a shop to go to talk to them and see what they can do. When I got rearended in my Tacoma, I told the shop that I was going to be getting a Demello bumper soon and that I would like to just put that on instead of a stock replacement, which was like $300, so they gave me that moeny to put towards the Demello.

Also if you claim it on your insurance, your rates may go up!

yeh but the estimate wuz 7.5 G's... i have to go thru insurance... it sux, b/c i cant afford 7000 i paid for it to be fixed in the summer when i backed into a building which came to $1800 just to avoid rates going up!
