I might try to make this entire event this year (even though im not a runner )

Aside from Holy Cross, i really want to do Chinamans and Wheeler Lake this year.

We'll see what happens when the time gets closer, what days do those dates fall on?

I look forward to it.

Wheeler Lake is about an hour towards Denver from that campsite... Plus I will be doing my run in that area the following weekend. That's fine if we make it a CO4RJ too...but just sayin'...

I would love to make it this year. I'll hopefully have the Runner on the road in the next month or so. It's been too long since I had it on a trail

Well, honestly it depends on what CoTTORA members join in on the run. I hate to say it, but which ones join in is a big determining factor for me.

I have to agree, just hanging around camp is great fun. Just be sure to bring good tent stakes, or your tent may move during the day.

I chased that goddamn thing for a mile. ha ha I rolled up just as it took off and tried to get it to stay put but didn't have tent stakes small enough for the legs. Sorry I couldn't get it before it bent.

No worries those things aren't cheap, that's why I chased it down. I have some alum square that might help but I don't know the dim's you need. It might be to thick for your needs let me look at my dad's, and I'll let you know maybe we could make up some repair sticks that we could spread around. I also have 4' sections of square that might work really well. I'll have to look though. I'll let you know.

would you mind doing the chinese men someplace private? When you're done, you should run chinamen's gulch, it's a good trail

Yeah, my dad wanted to tool around and look scenery last year. I plan to actually do some of the tougher trails this year, maybe carnage.... if I get my gears that is.

Is your brother coming again this year? Do you mind if I tag along with the rock frogs that are attending?

You're welcome to tag along on any run we do as long as you're equiped to run them
I fr sure want to do holy cross and chinamans, I will prolly skip on carnage and run iron chest or something like that. And I'll just follow you

Me and my wife are going to go to this. Is there anyone form Colorado Springs heading to it? We are open to leave Friday later after noon and want to do some trails that are not the extreme ones because I am mostly stock 4Runner.

Josh from another board and I are heading up Thursday night from southern castle rock heading through Colorado Springs to get on highway 24. If you want to go then shoot me your number and we can meet up. I think I am picking up a rigless guy on woodmen on the way.
