i forgot to tell you guys at our run. my mom actually bought a computerized vinyl cutter a month or so ago and i had cut one out for my truck. i couldnt get the "R" in TTORA to look like that and the inside of the "O" on missouri is actually the shape of the state. im going to mess with it a little more and ill try to post some pics. i really didnt want to start making them because technically we dont exist yet and that way no one gets bent out of shape....

I like both of those!

Both of those images I put together in like 15 minutes. Like I said they're pixelated a bit, but give me some time and some other ideas for what to put into a logo, then they should turn out looking more closer to a professional job.

I understand. I just wanted to throw out some I made to see what everybody thinks. Once I get a few more ideas, I'll finish them up and post them up. After that perhaps we can have a poll and see which ones everyone likes the best. That's just my

Here's some other rough sketches I came up with. Don't let me hold you guys back from throwing in your ideas or anything. I'm just thinking off the top of my head

Found a couple black and white pics of Toyota pickups and managed to shrink them down a bit.
I'll stop for now and wait for some idears from yall

I've been lurkin' for a couple of months & finally decided to chime in. I picked up an '89 runner this fall & I'm looking foward to gettin' it dirty.
I'm up for joining a yota wheeling club in the area. I've learned from years ago that wheelin' alone isn't advisable.
I like the decals. If I can make a suggestion. A couple of other different clubs I'm involved with have used colored decals. Unless you spend the big bucks they tend to fade rather quickly. We're changing our decals to plan white so they last longer.

Yeah like I said above, they're rough sketches now. I didn't really spend too much time on them and can be changed at any time. Just trying to see what everyone else thinks of them.
You said in the new members section, that you needed to fix the brakes on your 4Runner?

If you have the money, might I make a suggestion, by upgrading them to much a much better braking system. I JUST upgraded mine on my 4Runner.

Brake booster from a '92 4Runner (dual diaphram vs. single that came with the truck), Brake master cylinder meant for a '92-'94 Landcruiser FJ80 and Calipers, pads, and rotors meant for a '93 4Runner.
In the end all that equals to a much better stopping experience.

I work at a sign shop and we have a new Roland digital printer as well as a vinyl plotter/cutter (like what silverback has). We don't have to use just black and white, (fading reasons), we actually use a clear laminate over our prints and so far have had great luck w/out fade. We could do anything. Just an option, and I could have one of our designers help out too. Cost would be minimal, as I'm just wanting to help out. Since my computer skills are lacking,(website tech) maybe I could be of some help with the decals.
Let me know, shoot me a p.m.

Deffinitly probably will have one of your designers help out on it. Darn pixelation from MS Paint kinda makes it cheap looking IMO.

Not to be , but no one has said anything on what they think they would want in the design yet. It could be anything, something about Missouri, TTORA, Toyotas, something (cept no naked ladies or sexual related, other chapters might get jealous of our logo )

I am not artistic, creative in this manner at all, so it all looks good to me. I can chip in some cash to off set the cost printing however.

I'll try to get the guys started on some design tomorrow or Friday. I've been busy tonight w/ mounting up my new dual case/crossmember/twin-stick/cleaning up more frame after the SAS project. Just about done, with the exception of driveshaft mods.
Back to the decals, I'll try to have something by the weekend, or as soon as I can. Wolf, from what you have so far I have to agree w/ Coyote on the MO TTORA design, with easy to read "mottora.com" below. I'll let the guys who do this everyday play w/it.

As far as stickers go, I like the one that Boogy and Coyote both like of Nighwolf's.

I like the idea of a Toyota 4x4 with the TTORA logo BUT I think it would be cool, for a T-shirt to have picture of a Toyota 4x4 in action from one our wheeling adventures incorperated into the logo. IMO that would make the Toyota truck, 4Runner, Tacoma personal verses generic Toyota 4x4.

IIRC prior TTORA TOs have had TTORA member's Toyota 4x4s on the the shirt and IMO it looked really cool.

Hmmmm...I see what you mean. Then how about this one?

I'm not exactly sure what Missouri is famous for or anything so...instead of show me state, show me rocks

I like the "Show me Rocks" as a slogan.

Which is something else we could come up with, a Missouri TTORA slogan.

After a brief discussion w/ our designer, and looking over what Wolf had made up, his suggetion was to steer away from a specific toyota model(truck,FJ,tacoma, etc), stating that it was too busy and dated. We agree that we need something along the lines of the state background to show what the "MO" in the mottora stands for as well as a website address underneath. Hopefully, he can have something for me to show you guys in the next couple of days. Sorry, but I had to work out in the field this afternoon and didn't get a chance to follow up with him. I'll keep you posted.
FYI, we can do(print) a couple of different styles as well, just a couple, not a bunch!!! Also, cost will be minimal. Keep the ideas coming, because that also shows our designer(Greg) what we all are interested in.

If I understand where we are at correctly, we are on hold as far as a web address until we "officially" become a state chapter?

Do I understand correctly? Or have we moved forward from this position?

im going to email tacozilla this week (shannon) to go over some things with him on a website so we can be an "official" chapter. and we'll go from there.

on the stickers: i would refrain from putting trucks on the decal for one simple reason: we dont all drive the same truck . i also think that a state logo of missouri is a must with the "TTORA" lettering. the one i made said MO TTORA and underneath in smaller lettering said Toyota Territory Off-Road Association so everyone not so keen to our organization knows what it is.

Hey instead of Putting a big "MO" inside the outline of the state how about putting the whold Word "MISSOURI" accross the MO/AR border inside the outline of the state and then put the TTORA below it in big letters.

From the ideas and compliments from everyone so far, I've come up with this one.

Seems that so far one likes the truck in the logo, but I understand that's kinda unfair to the rest of us. For that one or whoever wants one, we could probably make a couple for those who like the truck in the logo.
As for me, whichever logo we decide upon, I'll glady pay for 3 of them.

Alright, I'm hitting the hay now. Gotta get up an hour early in the morning for work

Just my .02
I like the logo but to me the "MO" with the state outline should cancel out the word "Missouri". Then maybe replacing the O's with the Toyota logo. And a couple of off-road tire tracks going across the state at an angle.

Took me a while to get around to it, but tried to stay true to what you described.

Also it gave me this idea

I just now read a little more carefully. You said take out the word "Missouri" and have in "MO".

I like the 2nd one with everything at angle. Maybe dump the word Missouri and move the "Show Me Rocks" down & make it bigger. Then make the between the tracks just the "TTORA" logo.
To me the 1st & 3rd were to busy.
