Over the past several months we have been kicking around the idea of having a private Off-Topic section that would allow the users to be able to post topics that are just not allowed to be posted here in this Off-Topic section. Although we have specific guidelines in place as far as what topics are allowed in this section, people still can't seem to stop posting these types of threads.
Well, now you can...but only in this new section we are calling 'The Wrecking Yard'. If you goto the www.ttora.com/forum/ and scroll down towards the bottom you should see this new section directly above the TTORA Chapter Forums section. However, if you click on it you wont have access to it until you subscribe to it, which you can do from the following page...
You'll want to select the subscription to the Wrecking Yard which will have a GREEN TRUCK icon. Once you subscribe you should have automatic access to it.
Thanks

Would it be possible to post the "User Guidelines" for Wrecking Yard in this thread so we know what, or if any rules will apply.

If you're asking that if you were to get a Level 1 Subscription would you get access to the Wrecking Yard, the answer is no. This is a separate subscription altogether. You must subscribe to that particular subscription to get it.

so why not make it so that any type of subscription can view it?
We discussed doing that...to where all subscription levels would have access to it and those who subscribed in the future would as well. The only problem was with giving the existing subscription levels access to it is that some of these members may not actually want to have access to it, and there would be no way to deny them access from it other than unsubscribing them.
Making another subscription was the simplest way to go.
It's really not that difficult...you either subscribe to it or don't. The only benefit you get is access to this new section, that's it.

well if they dont want to view it then why dont they just not look at it? dont they have the option to not view it
And on that note I'm going to close this thread...
I'm not gonna answer question after question of why we didn't do it a certain way. This is the way it was done so end of story. Subscribe to it or don't subscribe to it. It's there for people who want to use it!
