Looks like a bad ass time. I wanted to go so bad but just wrong time of the month. Anytime after the 15th I would have been all in!

Who drove the furthest for the take over? See a lot of California plates in the pictures..

Didn't that MAF do the same thing last year on the way into Martinez?

Wish I could have made it everyone, looked like fun... but I'll be local soon enough.

I think I drove the furthest. 450+miles, about a 9hr drive. Didn't get anything at the dinner though

Yes Trump... same thing on Martinez last year. We talked about that Saturday morning. You missed a great event! BB will be there waiting for you when you make it out. None of the scheduled runs on the whole event were beyond the capabilities of you and your truck. See you at the next one!

Damn, that sucks... that was weird as hell when you just died out last year. I've got a buddy here in Tucson that might have an extra. I'll ask him for ya.

Yeah, as of now, I will be seasonally unemployed by the middle to end of September. So TM will be easy to fit in unless that changes - esp. since it's only about ten minutes from my house. Also, I want to hit Moab again in Sept or Oct, and again in December like Igor and I did last year. So if you can get some time off, I will be wheeling and would welcome the company. Keep in touch. I'll post up any big trip plans over on the AZ board.

***Edit*** pics and vids from Mel's and my cameras will follow eventually, just taking a while to compile.

Here are some pictures. I saw a lot of camera's out this weekend so Ashlee didn't go trigger happy. Here are some shots though:

Some shots from John Bull. Gold mountain went really quick so we didn't get shots of that:

Here's some of Dishpan from our run on Sunday. Ashlee didn't get any of the near tipover incidet though

Sounds great! TM should be easy to set up on a weekend here in the next month or two. I think Nate is going to plan a chapter run coming up when it starts to cool off as well.

For Moab, I like to do 5 to 7 days to make it worth the drive up and make it possibe to hit lots of trails while we are there. So if you can get some time off for something like that, definitely shoot me a PM with your availability and I will try to time our Fall trip so as many wheelers as possible can join us. That goes for anyone who seriously wants to do Moab this fall. Just let me know. Mel and I will be going at some point this fall, so we may as well try to plan it so we can get a good group up there and go hit some Moab trails together.

More great pics everybody! Keep 'em coming...

Here's one of Sparky on the big obstacle on the Sunday Dishpan run.

Uploads from the hotel are super slow, so I can't post up much. I might try to load a video but it may not go through.

I enjoyed wheeling with the guys in their well-built SFA trucks and watching that crazy articulation some of the builds were showing off. And we had some sweet rock rigs show up for this event, for sure. But I was impressed by the way everyone in the smaller builds wheeled their rigs in Big Bear this past weekend also. Thanks to all for showing up and getting some! It was fun to see so many people pushing themselves and their builds like that. We witnessed some really good work out on the trails at this one. Kudos to all!

Also, special props to Scuba and anyone else who ran mottino on 33's and IFS even though the minimums posted for the run at this event included 35's or bigger. I love it when IFS rigs on 33's built similar to mine beat the expectations and posted minimums without major problems. Sometimes people underestimate what skilled spotting and careful driving in a well-built and armored IFS rig can accomplish, and you guys proved that to be true once again. So congrats on running the hardest trail on the list! With those IFS rigs getting through Mottino, there was officially not a single trail on the sign-up sheet for this event that could not be run in an IFS truck on 33's armored and locked. That's good news for the big IFS contingent that showed up to this event. Great work guys!

Hey, Stealth 4x4! Please extend my most sincere thanks to Melanie!!! She went above and beyond in her efforts to catch as much as she could through the lens of her camera. And, she hiked the whole trail!! I hope you didn't get too much of a lashing about your tippy situation.

She must not like you guys like she does the Arizona degenerates. J/K

She's gonna be a serious professional 4x4 photographer by the time John finishes off the truck. She could probably land a job with a magazine.
