Meh, as far as extensive, unexplored terrain goes we have all of you beat. We have exposed bedrock as far as the eye can see with 10,000 CLEAN lakes thrown in for good measure. Add to that a lack of any real land use laws (when compared to the states anyways), and a low population to start off with and youve got heaven for outdoor activities.

Shit, you could literally drive across Canada using only trails.

Only thing we dont really have is sand dunes but that isnt a big loss.

This is such a lame thread. I hate pissing matches, they prove nothing. I agree that the west coast has a lot of sick wheeling and i'd love to spend some time out there sometime wheeling as much stuff as i can. BUT the east coast has a lot of wheeling opportunities too. Absolutely different experience, terrain, vehicle set up, and challenges then what the west coast has. I'd love to host some of you guys on our side of the mississippi sometime to see for yourself.

And i can, and do avoid mud like the plague. East coast isnt always sloppy mud slinging shit. And from what i've seen of Oregon/washington state they both have a lot of that themselves.

Ever heard of Big Dogs in Virginia? We also have Rausch Creek, some state land and a bunch of other areas to wheel on the east here, but ill agree its shitty to have to drive atleast 6 hours for challenging wheeling here.i love colorado and moab, i have never been happier in 4wd than i was out west, but these are two totally different animals.u need big displacement, bigger tires and balls to wheel our wet, sloppy, muddy no traction stuff here in the east compared to the more laid back crawling, slo everywhere you go wheelin of out west.i love wheeling everywhere tho and enjoy the differences of east and west as everyone else should, so everyone quit the bitchin!

ive wheeled east and west and lemme tell you i break way fewer parts on my truck in the west. Its also nice to have a destination to wheel to rather than wheel for 4 hours and end up at the gate you started. you cant expo wheel on the east coast like the west either.

as for difficulty i would say west has more difficult trails even though we have more traction.

oh yea, and we can wheel all year round in the southwest

Gotcha. I have 500 miles of state owned legal trails to wheel 10 miles away. The only problem not one mile is technical. Frozen mud holes, rivers, and trails are the only time they are exciting. Yea....NE

Looks like everyone is proud!

I will say that Roland has some good wheeling lass than 5 minutes from his home. For me it's at least 10-15 minutes for the closet wheeling and that's at the Costco!

hey Lurry

Ive wheeled at mettowee in whitehall NY as well as random places in the adirondacks. ive done some wheeling in Vermont and New Hampshire. all on private property

East coast wheeling is slick. takes wheelspin with mossy rocks, mud, and other not so nice conditions.

i used to have a 88 K5 with 3/4t 8 lug D44 with GM 14 bolt out back with detroit lockers. 37" MTRs. Until it rusted out completely...

Out west we have tons of traction but we still have variety too.

Azusa for mud, Johnson valley for rocks, Big Bear for wooded wheeling, etc.

Johnson valley is 180,000+ acres...

oh yea and New Yawk is the city...

Upstate is polar opposite of the city (Adirondacks)

Wheeling convenience and variety West>East
