Default Extended cab sub box

another option for extended cab subs, 2 10's. Rear seat work was taken out. all the metal shelfs or whatever you want to call it. Bottom of the box was glassed, sorry no pics of it but it needs carpeted so i can snap some then.

working on another box like this one but slightly smaller to work better with my dog deck. so this one will be up for sale shortly.

the part where it says "it needs carpeted" would tell you its not finished so if it was carpeted you wouldn't see the fiberglass making it look like ass...

looks like you would have way too much air space for those little 10's.

Default my idea

here's my 10" box.

it's velcroed to the deck and has quick disconnects so I can throw it in the back if I need the seat.

it's also low enough that it doesn't block the speaker under the window and still allows my seat to lean almost all the way back.

Jesse, I did the same thing. I stuffed my 10" solor baric in there. I hammered down the floorboard a bit to get more airspace, and I also cut out the metal to be square instead of the corners cut.

That box will look good once you get it carpeted. If it were me doing it, I would've made the box to where the subs are firing down into the floor. It, in my opinion, sounds better like that. I will be making my own box for two 12s one day, so I have a question, How did you remove the storage areas in the floor? do you have to cut them out, or are they just screwed in underneath the carpet? Thanks

Ya I think I read a post about you doing that. I was going to do that, but when I measured the airspace inside the fiberglass, I had just enough cubicfootage. I went with a smaller enclosure size sub as well. Thanks though!
Jesse

Mike: Both sides in an extended cab are screwed down. You dont have to cut anything to pull out 1, or both sides.

Good deal, thanks for the info. Just gotta get up the money and materials... may just do one side for now since I have only one sub, the other is another $150 I can't swing right now. Thanks again Jesse.

No pic of my truck available but this is what i've got. it sounds great and looks good while allowing the use of the storage boxes and seats. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...hp?fit_id=1424
