Post Count problem?

I have been noticing some strange things the last few days with post counts not showing up or looking strange... I there an issue?

Here is an example - look at Sundance's post count. It's zero and he has two posts in the thread. - it's this post. Zero count post

...........thats probably because posts arent counted in the Off Topic folder!

The reason is that any posts in the Off-Topic Section will not be counted. This is to prevent people from trying to boost their post count. So if you only post in the Off-Topic section (which Sundance has only posted in the Off-Topic Section) your post count will not go up.

Apparently some people do. The off-topic limitation prevents people from posting tons of random crap to boost their post count.

ha... can anyone reduce the amount of posts mine shows, since I don't ever post anything of any relevence and am surely not knowledgable...
